About Me

My name is Stephen Cromwell. I am a multimedia composer that specializes in video game music.

Stephen Cromwell has been enthralled by music ever since he was 10 years old. He became a percussionist when he joined his elementary school’s band. Because of his love for video games, he took an interest in video game music. His composition journey began at age 17, when he decided to pursue his dreams of becoming a video game composer.

His influences are drawn from the video game scores by Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy), Yuzo Koshiro (Etrian Odyssey), Junichi Masuda (Pokémon), and various other video game composers. His style includes soaring melodies, moving harmonies, and a blend of ‘chiptune’, orchestral, and synth textures.

Stephen Cromwell currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland, and holds a Bachelor’s in Music Composition from Towson University (May 2022).
